Most of OEM is now redesigned in an Internet-enabled three-tier architecture based on HTML (as of this writing, some aspects remain Java based). You can now connect to OEM from any web browser and manage all of your databases and systems from the browser interface. You can even connect to OEM via your PDA! The Java console is gone, and thus the necessity of installing a client software is removed.
