Top Level Navigation HOME CONTENT ADMIN

TO create reports:
1. Click Portal Content
2. Go to Whirlpool Folder under Portal Contents folder

3. Create as follows:




4. Click finish.
5. Repeat New Folder instructions under your Report folder for iViews, Pages, and Roles


6. Create Iview.

7. To create iview, choose template (SAP BW Report iview), click next. For R/3 iview, choose SAP transaction iview.



8. Enter iview properties as follows:



9. Choose application variant (f applicable – didn’t get this with the BW template), click next.


10. Select system and enter query string, click next.


in the BEX web application query string, type:

sap-language=EN&bsplanguage=EN&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=ZU_WHITEK_PORTALOORD


11. to see your report, right click on report , choose preview, and it will open a new window with your report.


TA-DA!

12. Create a page:


Use default page template.


Set page properties:

Set layout:

After clicking finish, you will see this:

While in the page - add iviews needed to the page you created.

Use Preview button to see your page.

TA-DA!


to change appearance of iview, right click and open object.

Choose Appearance Size and change height type to full page. Save.

To create a role:

Set properties:

After you click finish, you see this, click ok.

Create top level navigation by creating new folder on role.

Then repeat new folder for second level, by creating under top level one.

Then add your page to the role by highlighting the 2nd level folder – right click on page.

Finally, to ensure navigation from top level, highlight top level nav, right click - choose properties 

 
- mark entry point as yes.

**Security dept. must assign people to roles that you have created so that they see your pages.
