Steve Krausz who joined the Firm in 1985, has a background deeply rooted in information technology. Steve~s eight years of o perating experience with NASA Ames, BTI Computers, Direct Inc. and Daisy Systems have served him well as an advisor to many le ading network vendors, customers, investors, and start-ups. Steve has taken a leadership role in both the firm and the venture capital community. He was recognized by Forbes in 2003 with a ranking of #6 on its list of top venture capitalists. He has se rved for the last three years on the National Venture Capital Association Board of Directors. He is currently the Treasurer of the NVCA and serves on the executive committee of the NVCA Board of Directors.
Steve is a frequent panelist and moderator at many industry and engineering events and forums. At USVP, Steve has demonstrated flexibility and depth in a number of focu s areas for the firm. He has had successful investments in data networking, security software, technical software, semiconduct ors and systems. He has led the Firm~s investments in Occam Networks (OCCM.OB), Verity (VRTY), Accelerated Networks, Xylan, Applied Digital Access, Elantec and Micro Linear, all of which became public companies. Steve shared responsibility with other USVP partners on many successful companies such as, Check Point Software (CHKP), Harmonic Lightwaves (HLIT), and StrataCom (C SCO). He served on the Boards of Directors of EPIC Design Technologies and Photon Dynamics (PHTN). Other companies, Rasna, acq uired by Parametric Technologies, Palladium Interactive, acquired by The Learning Company, and Centerview Software, acquired b y Informix, were portfolio investments.
Currently he is on the Boards of USVP investments including, Force10 Networks, Agi lity Communications, Vontu, Kasenna, Pathfire, Imperva, Flexlogics, Performance Retail, Object Reservoir, Notiva, Xponent, Syn fora and Sierra Monolithics. He is a Board of Director Observer at Ciphertrust. Steve holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering f rom Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Spencer Greene is Vice President of Corporate Development / Technology at Juniper Networks, responsible for a portion of Junip er~s M&A, equity investment, and partnership activity. He has been with Juniper for more than five years; immmediately prior to his current role, he was Vice President of Product Management for IP Core and Edge Transport products, and before that, he ran several different development engineering groups. Mr. Greene came into Juniper Networks through the acquisition of hi s company, Layer Five Inc., an intellectual property development and licensing company he co-founded in 1996. Prior to Lay er Five, Mr. Greene was in the semiconductor and personal computer industries, in marketing and engineering positions at Allia nce Semiconductor, and Nimbus Technology, which he co-founded. He also worked for one year in Yokogawa Electric~s research la boratories in Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Greene holds BS degrees in Electrical Engineering and French from Rice University, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He holds numerous patents in the networking and graphics acceleration fields.

Sashi Reddi founded AppLabs in 1998 to provide high-end IT services to customers by leveraging the internet to tap into India~ s large talent pool of software engineers. Prior to AppLabs, Sashi was a Senior Vice President in DocuCorp International (NAS DAQ: DOCC), a leading provider of software to the insurance industry. Sashi was previously Founder and CEO of EZPower Systems, a developer of products for building and maintaining large web applications, which was sold to DocuCorp. Prior to EZPower, he advised Fortune 2000 companies on technology and strategy in the travel, financial services, automobile, and consumer package d goods industries.
