Vladimir joined NEA in 2005. He focuses on investments in information technology, including software, communications and servi ces. Before joining NEA, Vladimir was a managing director and a founding partner at Crosslink Capital, a fund established aft er a management buyout from Robertson Stephens Investment Management. He brings to NEA a proven track record of nine years in venture capital. At Crosslink, he was involved in venture investments in over 20 companies, including Cendura, CenterRun (acqu ired by Sun), Equinix (NASDAQ EQIX), Metapath (acquired by Marconi), newScale, OnDisplay (acquired by Vignette), and Saba Soft ware (NASDAQ SABA).
He currently serves on the Board of Directors at AmberPoint, IMLogic and think3. Previously, he was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company in San Francisco and Milan, Italy. Prior to that, Vladimir worked at Intel a nd Ingres.
Vladimir received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Uni versity of San Francisco, where he played NCAA basketball.

Venky Harinarayan is a founding partner of Cambrian Ventures and a founder of Kosmix.com, a Web Search company. Prior to found ing Cambrian in 2000, Venky was a General Manager at Amazon.com, where working with founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, he helped cre ate Amazon.com~s marketplace business. Marketplace today is Amazon.com~s most profitable and fastest growing business, account ing for almost 25% of all US transactions.
Venky came to Amazon.com in 1998 through the $250 Million acquisition of Junglee , a database technology company that he co-founded. At Junglee, Venky ran an award-winning marketing program and was also resp onsible for building key strategic relationships.
Venky has a PhD from Stanford University in Computer Science. He has auth ored multiple technical papers including one which received ACM SIGMOD~s best paper award in 1996, and also has multiple paten ts.
Venky has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Salon.com, India Today, CNET TV and on the cover of Business Week ( Intl. Ed.) as well as SiliconIndia.
Venky serves as investor, advisor, or board member to several technology start-ups.

An experienced entrepreneur, Venk Krishnan is Founder and CEO of NuWare. NuWare has been listed on the Inc. 500 for two years, and was ranked #102 in the Inc 500 list of Americas fastest growing privately held companies in 2000. NuWare was also ranked as a Fast 50 company by Deloitte and Touche in 2003. Mr. Krishnan started his professional carrier after graduating from BITS, Pilani at ORG systems followed by Wipro Infotech. He came to the United States in 1988 to work for Wall Street-based Automate d Securities Clearance (currently part of SunGard ) and was one of the core architects and developer for a equity trading syst em called BRASS - subsequently he worked in senior technical and managerial positions at the following major corporatio ns including: Bell South Wireless Data, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch and Sybase before becoming an entrepreneur and founding NuWar e in 1994. Venk was also the founder and CEO of a venture funded startup in 2000 called GovXcel which was a software company f ocused on construction permits and licences-The company was eventually acquired by Mitchell Humphrey in June of 2003.

In this role he is helping define a nd drive Sun~s overall RFID strategy as it pertains to solutions for EPC and non-EPC applications. Just prior to this current role, Vijay was a part of Sun~s Java Marketing organization where he was responsible for the product Management of J2EE inte gration technologies and also helped drive overall J2EE adoption.
