Winston Fu

General Partner, U.S. Venture Partners

Winston S. Fu joined U.S. Venture Partners as an associate in August 1997, following his selection as a Ewing Marion Kauffman Fellow in Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship. He became a General Partner in 2000. At USVP, Winston focuses on investments that apply semiconductor, photonics and related technologies to a variety of markets. Winston also invests in companies addressing the widening gap between the design and the manufacturing of semiconductors. Prior to joining USVP, Winston served in a variety of technical and marketing roles at Vixel Corporation, (NASDAQ:VIXL was acquired by Emulex:ELX in 2003) where he helped develop vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) for the gigabit ethernet and fiber channel markets. As director of product marketing, Winston was responsible for developing new applications for the VCSEL device product line. Prior to Vixel, Winston researched and developed technologies in the areas of semiconductors, lasers, and superconductors at Stanford University, Sandia National Laboratory, and MIT, resulting in numerous technical publications. Winston serves on the Boards of Brion Technologies, CiraNova, Clear Shape Technologies, E-Z-CAD, Princeton Lightwave, T-Networks and Teknovus. From 1999 to 2004, Winston served on the Board of New Focus (NASDAQ: NUFO), a photonics tools and telecom components company which was acquired by Bookham (BKHM) in 2004. Winston holds a bachelor~s degree in Physics from MIT, a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, where he was an Austin Scholar.

William A Grim

William A. Grimm serves as Chair of the GrayRobinson Technology Team, a group of more than 20 lawyers who serve the special needs of technology companies, Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business, and is a partner in the law firm of GrayRobinson, PA. Bill~s engineering background assisted him in becoming general counsel to many high technology companies in the Central Florida area, including several publicly held companies. He has handled many venture capital transactions for high technology and other companies and is a well-known speaker in Central Florida at seminars on venture capital financing and initial public offerings. Additionally, he has been instrumental in assisting companies in going public and has been a member of the boards of directors of several high technology companies.

Bill has earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, majoring in thermodynamics; an MBA with concentrations in Economics and Marketing from the University of Florida; and a JD with honors from Stetson University College of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the former Chairman of Ninth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee 9E; a member of the Orange County Bar Association, serving as a member and former Chairman of the Corporate and Business Law Committee; a member of the American Bar Association, the Business Law Section and Section on Science and Technology; a member of the Law and Accounting Committee of the Business Law Section; and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Bill was selected as one of Florida?s Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine in 2004

Walter Pritchard

Walter Pritchard is a Vice President in Schwab SoundView~s software research group, covering information security companies for the last four years and more recently companies in the network, systems and application management space. Walter~s responsibilities include conducting primary research and modeling and communicating investment conclusions to institutional clients, as well as internal sales and trading groups. Companies under coverage include Check Point Software, Internet Security Systems, McAfee, Micromuse, Netegrity, NetIQ, RSA Security, Symantec, VeriSign and Websense. Prior to his role in research, Walter was an associate in SoundView~s investment banking group where he focused on equity financing and financial advisory, primarily for software companies.
